2026 Scholarship Application
The Pearls and Ivy Foundation of Cabarrus County provides scholarships to foster its commitment to cultivating and encouraging high scholastic standards and strong community engagement among high school students in all Kannapolis City and Cabarrus County Schools. In 2026, The Pearls and Ivy Foundation will award 6, $1,000.00 one-time scholarships to qualified high school students. At least one of the scholarships will be awarded to a student attending HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities). Eligible candidates must attend a Kannapolis City or Cabarrus County High School, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, demonstrate leadership capabilities through community service and/or extracurricular activities, and attend a four-year college or university beginning Fall 2026.
Scholarship eligibility requirements
The applicant MUST...
•Must be a U.S. citizen
• Be enrolled as a full-time high school senior in a Cabarrus County High School or Kannapolis City Schools.
• Plan to attend an accredited four-year college or university Fall 2026
• Must provide proof of college or university enrollment for Fall 2026 (if awarded scholarship)
All information listed below must be submitted as one package:

A completed application form.

An official high school transcript listing a GPA of at least 3.0 weighted emailed directly from the school.

One letter of recommendation: 1) from a teacher/staff at your school OR 2) from a leader, employer, coach, etc. in your community

A 500-word essay in Times New Roman or Arial 12-point font on one of the following topics:
